Craft fair haul

I attended the Perth Quilt and Craft fair today and came away with a good stash at great prices.
My two faves of the day were Beads N Crystals and KimoYes.

Have some exciting plans for the black and silver button things!
Too bad its the final few weeks of classes at university and I have two assignments due :(

Experimenting with Foils and Ink

I haven't posted for a while, but was feeling inspired today so thought I'd share some things I made a few weeks ago. I had a number of silver bezel jewellery pieces lying around and wanted to make a matching set using a technique I hadn't tried before.

This is using Lisa Pavelka foils, stamped with permanent black ink with an acrylic stamp.

I'd be interested in putting together a tutorial if people were interested.

I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Mold Crazy!

I haven't posted for a while, so thought I'd put up some photos of ear post studs i've made using flexible polymer clay molds. All of these items are available on my Etsy store, and can be made up in any colour you choose.
The last photo is a pair of earrings I made using the mini cabezel molds (discussed in a previous post), and the cabochon is made using the stroppel cane technique (if you google this you will find some great tutorials!). I love this technique as you can use up your scrap clay and make something which looks amazing. I used scrap clays which were of the same colours for each layer which made a nice effect.

Cabezel Mould Jewellery

I've been experimenting with the mini Cabezel moulds designed by Wendy at Shades of Clay. I made these pendants using scrap polymer clay for the cabochons, and various colours of gilder's paste, and mica pearlex powders to decorate the bezels.

I'm hoping to try out the other cabezel moulds I bought (geometric, and get to the point molds) this weekend. Will post pictures when I can.

Pixelated Retro Blend Cane

I thought I'd share some of my recent creations. I've been experimenting with a few different polymer clay techniques. These pieces are made using the pixelated retro blend cane designed by Bettina Walker. She has an amazing tutorial on her website, which is really easy to follow. I just purchased a Makin's Extruder, and was keen to try out something. The extruder is so easy to use, I love it.

I'll be listing these items in my Etsy store in the next couple of days. Watch this space for links.
